i want my MTV
i wrote this song ten years ago, still in the vault along with all the other songs i write..the video was made byTim Noble. It was going to be used as an ad in a surf video, but was never published on the DVD. It was kind of a summarized version of a day in the life type thing; like into my little world of painting and surfing and having shows...the song is me in the studio recorded it at George Lawton's place in Dana Point. Brother Kevin on bass, i am on all other tracks. maybe i can get Adele to sing it?

WORK WITH OTHER ARTISTS
Even if you don't want to, the idea is valid enough for you to make the effort in order to grow. It's easy not to show and not participate but than you leave many doors closed. I have been selling my work since 1998. I have been showing my work since 2004. My sales are higher because people talk and people want to "meet the artist" . If i can't be there, I at least make arrangements to have my work hung, and always make a point to include a price sheet and bio, so art connoisseurs have a way of reaching me. So if you want to sell your work, you have to display it. This isn't a gallery it's a wall in the middle of a town.

ALLOW LIFE TO TEACH YOU
This phrase came to me after i thought long and hard on what this photo meant to me. I obviously got a lot from it because this is me with my two year old son, Felix Sean. And he is left handed, so i adapted and became left handed for a moment anyway, and it allowed us to both work together on the same art, while not hitting elbows.Because check him out, he switched after i did too. Lesson learned, thanks little dude. i love you.

IT'S GOOD TO BE GOOFY. AS LONG AS YOU'RE NOT OVERLY OBNOXIOUS, RUDE OR ANNOYING THE MASSES. THIS IS CHUCK, A LOCAL ART CRITIC. WHO HAS HELPED ME WITH ROOM AND BOARD, TRAVEL, AND FINE WINE; BEING HE IS ALSO CONNECTED WITH THE RITZ CARLTON, REAL ESTATE AND THE AIRLINES.
